Chicago Marathon: Well Gee Hell Sure Does Look Familiar, the Sequel...

I don't want to keep everyone waiting... so... 6:28: something something mumble mumble...

Pain.

Apparently I ended the race with a medal and tendinitis in my ankle. Awesome.

Lou, you did awesome. I am sorry that you are in pain, but now you have a bunch of time to rest and enjoy your accomplishment! You should also be really proud of your determination...and you should wear that damn medal on the train and all day at work on Tuesday. You mother-trucking earned it.

Here's to Lou!
*raises a cupcake in your honor*

And looking ahead...If you sign up for Grand Rapids next year, I promise that it will be nice and cool (forecast for next Sunday is 40 LOW/59 HIGH). :o) I'll probably be in for the half again.

wait, what? I assume this will be in the edited post, but you ended the race with A SPRINT TO THE FINISH LINE, a medal and tendinitis in your ankle.

I was just thinking....maybe Chicago is destined to be hot until Carey Pinkowski owns up to the administrative failures that occurred last year.

How else can one explain how it was 65 degrees all week until the weekend..and how it's a teensy bit chilly this morning?

Lou, WAY TO GO!!! You are a rockstar.

Lindy I completely agree with you about the heat. It is almost scary how similar yesterday was to last year.

Ice your ankle. Wear your medal proudly and enjoy!!!!

Stock up on the Advil and limp around town proudly wearing your medal. :-)

Lou,
You're the best and I am so proud of you, as always. Most of us can't run to the mailbox, look at you. Yea, my kid.
Love,

Lou,
You are a rockstar!! I am so proud of you! I know what you went through last year, and to come back and run in pretty similar conditions and finish, WOW!! Very impressive! Now take care of that tendonitis! Have handsome men massage you constantly! That's pretty much my advice for any major or minor ailments. That and a lot of booze ;)

thanks for the mention of me in your blog! I feel like a celebrity now!
Party On!
