Not So Standard

Our Friday nights have become very low key.  After we picked up our freshly bathed and coiffed animal from the groomers, MM wanted to check out this grocery store/restaurant in Westmont that he had heard about. So we went.

Standard Market is pretty cool. From the outside, it looks more like a place to hold a wedding reception rather than to shop for fresh meat, veggies and bread. On the inside, it kind of feels part-Whole Foods, part-small gourmet cheese and wine shop.

They also have a slightly upscale, cafeteria-style restaurant, Standard Grill. The menu is limited, but the food was solid. I had lemonade and a few slices of pizza.

MM had a burger, fries, and the soup of the day, clam chowder. I didn't get a photo because I was too busy eating his fries. Nom. We'll definitely be back.
